Our mission is to support a healthy and growing economy for the residents of Las Animas and Bent county. 

We do this by promoting business members, keeping an open Visitor’s Center, promoting a buy local campaign, and working in our community in many other little ways. 

Our board is a working board, comprised of interested and dedicated members of the community who are committed not only to governing the Chamber, but putting in the work necessary to successfully meet our goals and objectives.  These dedicated board members meet at least once monthly to work on planning events and promotion of our community.

    Tiana was born and raised in Las Animas on her family's ranch. After graduting from Kansas State University she returned home to follow in the footsteps of her Grandmother and Mother, working on the ranch and serving as the LA/BC Chamber President. She is very passionate about making sure Bent County and great place to call home!

    Shonda Arrona is resident of Las Animas. She is currently employed at Mountain Prairie. She does all that she can to promote the operations of Mountian Prairie and other agriculture pursuits that benefit Bent County.

    Teresa Garcia is a life-long resident of Bent County. She runs her family ranch operation and is the Student Coordinator for Santa Fe Trail Day. She hopes to keep old tradtions alive as we move into the thriving future that Bent County is headed towards.

    Mike Dean is a life-long resident of Bent County. His passion for this community is seen through his commitment to help the businesses of Bent County be promoted at many Chamber events. He is a strong member of the local VFW and senior living center.

    Richard Devlin is a new member of our community. Owner/operator of Rikki DEE'S CYCLERY in Las Animas, American Legion Las Animas Post 6 Commander ,Colorado American Legion District 1 Commander .

    Tom Meardon is currently the Principal of the Las Animas High School. He strives to promote the education of all the students that are in the high school.

    John Dombaugh is a resident of Las Animas. After years of being a superintendent for the local school districts. He current enjoys flying his airplane around Bent County and seeing all the historical sites from the highest heights.

    Susan Waring has been a life-long resident of Bent County. Susan Waring has worked for the school district for 19 years and is the Communication Director for Las Animas School District. Susan also serves on the LA-BC Library board as Vice President and lives on a farm/ranch east of Las Animas.

    Rachelle was born and raised in Las Animas on her family's farm. After graduating from Colorado State University, she decided to come home and help grow the community that has given her so much. She is passionate about making sure agriculture in Bent County thrives and is well represented.

    Nancy Gerlock has been an influential member of our community for many years. She currently works for the Bent County Democrat as a journalist. Through keeping everyone updated on the community activties and news, she serves our community in the noblest way, the truth.
